Casey has been a complete player for the Wolverines in this young season. Brown is the 6G team leader in rebounds, blocked shots, and assists while sitting second on the team for steals and 3rd in scoring. Her defensive effort and hustle is on full display every game and her competitive spirit is exemplary. This week, in a tough loss to a strong Madison team, Casey had 2 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. For this excellent effort, Brown is our Player of the Week.

LILIANA MICHALSKI
Liliana works as hard as anyone on the court whenever she is competing. Her willingness to dive for the loose ball, grab a critical rebound, and defend the other teams most skilled player is what makes her so valuable to her team. This weekend, even as the shots weren't falling, Lil never gave up or stopped competing. On the day Michalski had 2 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. For her efforts, Liliana is our Honorable Mention of the Week.
Cort provides great versatility for the 6th grade squad. His rebounding is notable (1st on team 5.6 per gm) and he can defend the perimeter or the post while being a capable scorer (4.3 ppg / 3rd on team). This weekend, Hirsch had one of his best performances as a Wolverines with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. For this well-rounded outing, Cort is our Player of the Week.

Kyle Bickelhaupt got his holiday wish with a return from a foot injury that delayed the start of his season. In his first game back his presence was felt, especially on the backboards. Bickelhaupt had 7 rebounds and provided interior defense and rim protection in a much improved 6/7 effort against top-conference foe, Milford. For his efforts, Kyle is our Player of the Week.
HONORABLE MENTION:
FINN GOLLARENY
Finn gives the 6/7 boost a competitive boost and he was missed while out with an injury last week. Gollareny made impacts with his scoring, rebounding, and transition defense. For the toughness and grit on display this weekend, Finn is our Honorable Mention of the Week.
Justin is a wonder to watch on the court. His feet, arms, and hands are in constant motion on defense and he is an impeccable on-ball defender due to strong lateral movement. Despite his slight build, he can be seen mixing it up for rebounds and steals among the biggest players on the court. In a signature win for the (5-3) Wolverines, Justin had a 5 point effort with 1 rebound, and 1 steal. What doesn't show up in the stat-line is the fierce defense he played to help secure the win. For his efforts, Justin is our Player of the Week.
HONORABLE MENTION:
MATTHEW FILIPOWICZ
Flip's versatility and value was on full display Sunday in the Wolverines 42-28 win over first place Milford. Flip played in positions big and small and secured 5 rebounds and 2 points in the win. His willingness to play whatever role was needed and his focus on making the right play all-day earns Matthew our Honorable Mention this week.
Conner has given the 8th grade squad the type of depth at the point-guard spot that anchors a great team. His ability to start and run the offense or to come off the bench as a spark have been a significant luxury that has the (7-1) Wolverines off to the best start in program history. This week, Woolard was exceptional with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals. For this stellar outing, Conner is our Co-Player of the Week.
Another new addition this season, forward JJ Warrick, is equally impactful for the (7-1) 8th grade team. Warrick is shooting so well this season, Steph Curry himself would be impressed. Warrick leads the Wolvs in scoring at 11.0 ppg while shooting 68% from the floor, 62% from 3-pt range, and 100% (4-4) from the free-throw line. On Sunday, Warrick had 17 points, 3 assists, and a steal. For his continued shooting excellence and efficiency, Warrick is our choice for Co-Player of the Week.

A few of those ways have been as a stellar passer, spot-up shooter, and rebounder (5 rebounds from the guard spot).
