CASEY BROWN - 6G

Casey set the standard for effort in her Wolverines debut and seemed to be everywhere on the court.  She had 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and two blocked shots in this weekends action and was able to set teammates up to score off of the inbounds pass.

HONORABLE MENTION:

MIA NIEVES

Mia hit a series of big shots for her team. She also provided primary ball handling support with only 3 turnovers. Her performance of 8 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 blocked shot are worthy of recognition.

TEAGUE UHL - 6B

Teague was a defensive menace (4 steals and 1 blocked shot) and an offensive spark plug (9 points, 3 rebounds) for the Wolverines.  He stood out for his competitive spirit and energetic effort.

HONORABLE MENTION:

COLE GERME

Cole initiated the offense in the face of big defensive pressure. The guard performed as a capable scorer who also rebounded well against taller players (5 rebounds) and played strong defense (3 steals).

JOEY BOZZI - 6/7B

Joey was instrumental in his team's success this weekend. His strong contributions were felt across multiple phases (12 points, 27 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks) in two games of action.

HONORABLE MENTION:

NOAH MASON

Noah was a threat on both sides of the ball for his team (11 points, 2 rebounds, 1 blocked shot). The guard had a sharp shooting streak of 3 straight 3-pointers in the first of his two games this weekend.

JACK CORSO - 7B

Jack Corso had a spectacular tournament for the Wolverines. The guard did a bit of everything for his team while scoring in bunches. Corso's stat-line (23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 7 steals, and 3 blocked shots) strongly supports this well-deserved player of week nod.

HONORABLE MENTION:

COLE HOWLETT

Cole continues to grow into a vintage center that provides his team rim protection, interior scoring, and rebounding strength. Howlett made an impact in many areas of the game (22 points, 23 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals).

***Pictures will be added after team picture day***

CJ CALLAHAN - 8B

CJ played his best in the biggest moments guiding his team to victory with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and 4 steals.  As the primary ball handler, running the offense, Callahan was instrumental in helping his team break the press. His efficient scoring performance came on 9 of 12 shooting (75%) and 7 of 8 from the free throw line (88%)

HONORABLE MENTION:

MASON MEJIAS

Mason, who started the day with shooting woes, made big baskets when it mattered most. The versatile forward made 3-straight 3-point baskets with his team down five points in the finals and just over 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The Mejias hot streak helped secure what would become a thrilling overtime victory in the championship game for Wallingford.
