Tim stood out by connecting with the players and driving stro
Patrick has been with the Wolverines since pre-launch where he coached 5th, 6th, and 7th grade.

Coach Pat shares his knowledge and passion for the game while holding his players to a hi

Jacob joined the team this season with an established set of skills. His development through the season saw him become a strong contributor in every category 5.4 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
7TH GRADE - JORGE OLMO
Jorge came to the Wolverines this year as a first year travel player. His size and strength made an immediate impact. Over the year, Jorge saw his minutes increase as a defensive stopper in the middle and rebounder on the offensive glass.
6TH GRADE - CAMDEN WHITE
Camden White earned his MIP Award with strong effort, great attitude, and a team-first mindset. Whether it was diving after a loose ball or making the extra pass, Cam's focus was on helping the team win, improving his game, and growing as an athlete. His coaches raved about him in all of these areas and that was what earned him the honors.
4/5TH GRADE - MAKENNA JAMES
Makenna is a player that is 110% energy and grit. Through the season, she was an eager defender and a hawk on the ball. Through practice and focus, Makenna turned into a scoring threat and solid rebounder along with her knack for creating steals.
8TH GRADE-GRAYSONSCHARFSTEIN
The L.E.A.D. acronym for this award is suited perfectly to Grayson Scharfstein's game. He is a leader who can do so much on the court but he puts his focus on connecting his teammates and opening up ways for them to score. After battling back from injury and missing 10 games, Grayson leaves the as the programs all-time leader in points, assists, steals, and blocks. That
7TH GRADE - CJ CALLAHAN
CJ Callahan changed his game this season for the benefit of his team. A primary scorer in past seasons, the Wolverines needed Callahan to facilitate and be the primary ballhandler against the press. His willingness to lead by sacrifice allowed him to develop new skills averaging a well-rounded 5.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. Effort and determination descr
6TH GRADE - MAX WHITE
Watching a 6th grade Wolverines game would make you familiar with Max White. He could often be seen weaving through the press or hitting a big shot to energize his team. Max enjoyed a very strong season with 4.1 points per game, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. Max displayed all of the qualities we look for in a L.E.A.D. award winner.
4/5TH GRADE - CiCi RODRIGUEZ
CiCi Roriguez was dynamic for the Lady Wolverines all season. Her fingerprints were all over every big win and her leadership, effort, attitude, and determination were exemplary. The forward/guard averaged 4.8 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 steals and solidified herself as a force to be reckoned with.
8TH GRADE- JAMES FRANK
James was an anchor in the middle for the 8th grade team. His ability to own the defensive glass and block shots made the 18 win squad very hard to score against. His efforts on the defensive end ensured that his team was never out of a game.
7TH GRADE - DREW KOFSUSKE
Drew is an explosive athlete who uses his defense to drive his offense. There were countless times that he perfectly timed a steal jumping into the lane and, in a flash, was laying the ball up. He averaged 11.1 points per game, 2.8 steals, and had some of the most punishing shot blocks that we saw this season. His play as DPOY was a huge reason for the Wolverines success.
6TH GRADE - ETHAN JOHNSON
Ethan has, at least, one moment each game of "how did he do that?" Whether it's jumping sky high for a block, coming from nowhere for a steal, or contorting himself for another rebound, it's a sight to see. Ethan is already the leading rebounder in Wolverines history with two seasons left to play. This season, he averaged 4.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.1 steals, and 1.7 bloc
4/5TH GRADE- MIA NIEVES
Mia Nieves changed games with her shot blocking ability and knack for creating steals. Her defense was a driver of her offense as well and she was the teams second leading scorer. Nieves averaged 5.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 3.1 steals, and a program leading 2.1 blocks per game earning her the DPOY Award.
8TH GRADE - BUBBA KAPOOR
Bubba can do it all on the basketball court. Outside shooting, slashing to the rim, or handling the ball to distribute... No problem. This season Bubba's skills were on full display and his averages of 6.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game are understated to his importance in the very balanced 8th grade attack.
7TH GRADE - RYAN GOSTOMSKI
The addition of Ryan Gostomski to the Wolverines this season provided a spark that changed the team. The 6th grader, playing up, was versatile as a starter or as a 6th man. Either scenario, the kid could score the ball averaging a team high 11.8 points per game. Ryan also was a key ballhandler in the teams efforts against the press. Coach Harrington stated that Ryan won t
6TH GRADE - COLE HOWLETT
Cole's post game and presence immediately bring you back to the days of the 80's Celtics and Lakers when big men ruled the game. Cole was a force averaging 7.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game and he was also a frequent visitor to the free throw line as teams needed to foul him to stop him. This effort earned him our 2024 OPOY Award.
4/5TH GRADE - LILIANA MICHALSKI
What can you say about a player that leads her team in almost all categories? Well that is what 2024 OPOY winner Liliana Michalski did. The combo guard averaged 7.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. Michalski also hit the game winning shot in the CTBC Tournament Finals to propel her team to the title.
