THE TEAM
The 4B team is 8-8 on the season. 4 of those losses are by 4 points or less. Another fun stat is that their 8 losses come against teams with a combined record of 67-29 which tells you that they are right on the cusp of being a top team and coach Whitehouse feels they have grown week-over-week.
HONORABLE MENTION:
TOMMY JERMINE
Tommy has a court awareness that makes his team better and he plays with toughness and durability. He is being recognized this week for more than stats. He simply plays hard and gives 150% of himself every minute he plays.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
AIDEN LAHNIN
Aiden was a defensive standout against Valley and provided tough minutes for his team in the midst of a blowout loss. In those games it is easy for the team to lose focus but Aiden didn't and played tough defense leading to numerous deflections, off-the-ball hustle, and steals.

THE TEAM
The season has been one of challenge and growth. 5/6B is a combo team which means 50% of the players are playing up a grade every week. The toughness and resilience of this team has made coach Palowski very proud.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
MAKENNA JAMES
Makenna is such an important part of the 6G team. Her efficiency scoring the ball, ability to grab big rebounds, and make defensive stops are often one of the decisive factors that pull out close wins. James had a stellar weekend with 14 points, 29 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 steals, and 1 blocked shot.
HONORABLE MENTION:
CADENCE CALLAHAN-LAPIA
Cadence had a solid and balanced performance in her teams wins against Portland and South Windsor. Callahan-LaPia

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
CiCi RODRIGUEZ
Over the last 3 seasons, Rodriguez's contributions to the Wolverines girls basketball program have been significant. This weekend, she became the all-time leading scorer in the girls program with 380 points (Mia Nieves is 2nd, Liliana Michalski is 3rd). CiCi had a great weekend for the 7th grade team (she also plays 6th) with 24 points (7 of 13 from 3-pt range), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocked shots.
HONORABLE MENTION:
LILIANA MICHALSKI
Liliana is the engine that drives the 7th grade team. She plays fast and she plays hard in all facets of the game. This weekend, she was a dynamic force with 10 points, 24 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocked shots.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
ASHER GAWORGY (no pic available)
Gaworgy was a standout performer this weekend for the 7th grade Wolverines. His 34 points (19 for a season high on Sunday), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 steals were a breakout weekend across two games.
HONORABLE MENTION:
EVAN CARBINE
Carbine was solid in the post for his team this weekend. His 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 blocked shots gave the 7B squad a much needed boost.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
JOEY BOZZI
In a showdown with first-place Manchester, Joey Bozzi put the team on his back. He scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Bozzi has been a reliable scorer and defensive presence for his team all season.
HONORABLE MENTION:
NOAH MASON
Mason has been a spark plug for his team. Defensively, as a scorer, and as someone who can make the big play. This weekend was no different as he once again proved critical to the teams success.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
CRISTINAO OLIVEIRA
Cristiano is a physical and relentless force on the court. He can score, rebound, and defend. More than the stat-line he puts up, Oliveira impacts games with his motor. This weekend against undefeated Guilford, Coach Howlett thought that Cristiano stood out and made his imprint on the game.

RYAN GOSTOMSKI
Ryan is a prolific scorer and skilled ball-handler that helps drive the 8th Grade Wolvs offense. His 16.5 points per game is a single season record for the program and he currently sits at 4th on the all-time scoring list with a chance to reach the top by seasons end.
