
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
JEREMIAH ALGARIN
Algarin had a very solid weekend against top teams in the league. His 19 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals, and 6 blocks set a great pace for his team. Many of his points came off strong drives to the basket.
HONORABLE MENTION:
LUCAS CORDERO
Cordero brought an energy that was contagious on both ends of the court. His 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 blocked shots were evidence of his impact and the boost he gave his team.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
ETHAN MATUSKEY
Ethan was a leader on both ends of the floor with heart and hustle. Despite a tough defeat, his coaches were impressed with his defensive intensity and pursuit.
HONORABLE MENTION:
LUCA DAUGHENBAUGH
Similar to Matuskey, Daughenbaugh made his presence felt on the defensive end of the floor. There were numerous times where he was able to lock up his opponent and energized his team with a hustle play.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
SYDNEY REPKO
Repko is concerned with only one thing... winning. In her play, she emphasizes defense, making the extra pass, and diving for every loose basketball. These are winning plays and they embody what the (7-4, 2nd place) 6G team is about. Her 2 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals, and 1 blocked shot seemed to happen at the exact moment her team needed a play in their huge 25-20 win over first place HAR-BUR.
HONORABLE MENTION:
CiCi RODRIGUEZ
CiCi was as solid as always against HAR-BUR. She had 7 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, and 4 blocked shots. It was a total team win and CiCi was a catalyst to the teams offensive success.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
MIA NIEVES
Week after week, Nieves takes on the scoring burden for 7G. In doing so, she faces double teams, defensive schemes designed to stop her, and the pressure that comes with the job. Over the weekend, Mia tallied 20 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 10 steals. While wins have been elusive for 7G, Nieves has surely been a bright spot.
HONORABLE MENTION:
REBECCA GRAVER & KK CALLAHAN-LAPIA
Graver has emerged as a spark in the rotation providing scoring and hustle plays. Callahan-LaPia has been a strong rebounder, facilitator, and rim protector in the post. Graver had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 1 steal. Callahan-LaPia had 7 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and a block on the weekend.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
COLE GERME
Cole Germe loves to compete. The more intense the game, the more he seems to relish playing. Germe was a defensive standout in the press defense. He also added scoring punch from the guard spot. All-in-all, Cole had 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 6 steals. He was also perfect from the free-throw line.
HONORABLE MENTION:
ASHER GAWORGY
Gaworgy joined forces with his backcourt mates to deliver a strong performance in his teams win over Groton-Mystic. His 10 points, 2 assists, and 5 steals were huge factors down the stretch and he was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
JOEY BOZZI
No player does more for his team than Joey Bozzi. He can do it all from scoring, rebounding, ball-handling to guarding any of the five positions on the floor with his length and athleticism. This weekend, Bozzi nearly led his team back from a 20 -point deficit to a win against Colchester. His 16 points and 10 rebounds were the high marks for his team.
HONORABLE MENTION:
THOMAS CHESERY & JAXSON GRAHAM
These tandem point guards played a great game on Sunday. Part of the huge comeback was the big shots they hit and the pressure defense they supplied. Chesery and Graham had 7 points each while combining for 6 assists, and 6 steals.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
MAX WHITE
Max White played lights-out against rival Wolcott in a back and forth battle on Sunday. His 12 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal were impressive enough but his timely scoring and defensive energy also served to keep his team in the game until the very end.
HONORABLE MENTION:
JACK CORSO
Corso played the role of facilitator on Sunday finding his teammates time after time with open shots. In addition to his 3 points, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 4 rebounds against Wolcott, he also made a game winning steal to lay-up play with 10 seconds left to win the Gampel Pavillion (YES... on the Huskies floor) to seal a win against rival Milford.
